Many Target stores will become better places to buy Macs, iPhones and other Apple products. In a deal announced Thursday, there’ll be twice as much space dedicated to the devices in these locations, and Target employees will get additional training on using them.
“Apple products are popular with Target’s guests, and this new, dedicated shopping experience offers enhanced service and expanded offerings, building on our strength as a go-to destination for electronics,” said Christina Hennington, EPV at Target, in a statement.
Apple computers and related accessories have been sold in the retail giant’s stores for 15 years, but the new deal will increase their exposure. Especially as there’ll be Target employees trained to be able to properly demonstrate their capabilities.
The process will begin with 17 stores scattered across the U.S. getting much bigger Apple footprints, from California to New York. Of these, five will be in Texas and four in Florida. Additional locations will be added in 2021 and beyond.
