In just three weeks, the classic strategy game Company of Heroes will launch onto iPhone. Feral Interactive promised Thursday that, following a successful iPad debut earlier this year, the combat simulator will be released on September 10 for iPhone and Android.

The game offers squad-based battles, and a story that progresses from the D-Day invasion through to the liberation of Normandy.<!– –>

Company of Heroes debuted for Mac and Windows back in 2006. The iPhone version is a port of the original, but with new controls. “Designed for phones, this version of the game allows mobile gamers to direct all the action from a user interface highly tailored to touch controls,” said Feral Interactive.

This is a premium title with a $13.99 price, but there are no in-app purchases. And anyone who already plays the iPad version of Company of Heroes gets the iPhone version for free.

When released, it’ll run on every Apple handset since the iPhone 6S. The Android version will run on devices introduced in recent years, such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 or better.

Anyone who can’t wait until mid September can jump onto some already-available real-time strategy games for iPhone, like Rome: Total War, Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon or Rebel Inc.
